It's Time to Face Your Challenges!

Salutations family!

It’s time to Face your Challenges! When we complain because there are challenges in our lives, remember that we need challenges in life because they sharpen and shape us. You may be struggling with upsetting emotions, frightening memories, or a sense of constant danger (fight or flight). Or you may feel numb, disconnected, and unable to trust other people. You may have gone through a traumatic event, but guess what… that still did not define who you are! “Sometimes you have to be temporarily closed for spiritual maintenance! “ Prov. 25:28 “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”

Sometimes when God isn’t changing your circumstances it’s because He’s mostly concerned with changing you within the circumstances. Your character, your inner strength, your integrity matters to Him because they are everlasting qualities. The wisdom, the strength and the maturity that grows within you are all things you’re going to need to sustain the calling that’s on your life. There is always a purpose for your pain. Just know that your comeback will be stronger than my setback!

One of the ways to defuse some of that pain of those memories is to expose them. I’ve heard it said that you are only as sick as the secrets you keep, but revealing is healing! When you bring the event into the light, darkness loses its power!! The enemy would love to have you keep the memory under lock and key in the fortress of your mind. The enemy will have you feeling depleted, defiled and disgusted. But Paul tells us that light and darkness can’t co-exist. Darkness loses its power when you turn on the light!

Exposing it through talking to a trusted counselor, coach, mentor or peer, and releasing it from the confines of your memory, allows you to start on the road to be restored. A trusted person like that is more likely to accepted you, assisted you in your restoration and love you back to life all while wanting nothing in return except to see you whole. God knows exactly who is needed in your recovery process! Trust His timing. His timing is as important as His will!

The word restoration in itself means to be put back together to its original state. We can infer that this means “before the trauma.” And if it’s before the trauma, then those memories aren’t going to continue to wreak havoc on your soul. You may still remember that place, but it won’t be as painful. I think of it much like a scar reminds you of a past wound or surgery. You see the reminder…but it doesn’t hurt anymore.

All of us have an opportunity to progress toward even greater wholeness. Our marred emotions, our will and thinking can be transformed by the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. As we surrender more and more to the Spirit of God, He can work accordingly in our lives. You may not understand this today or tomorrow, but eventually God will reveal why you went through everything you did! Remember… “No rain, No Flowers!!!

Overcomer, one of the most difficult phases in life is not when no one understands you, it is when you don't understand yourself. Remove the mask and be willing to put in the work to becoming truly whole again! Let’s work it out together! We are family!

Be Optimistic; Be Open Minded; Be an Over comer!!
